2019

In the scorching heat just outside of Lynchburg, Virginia, a large group of young athletes gathered together to participate in the 2nd annual Luther Maddy Youth Football Camp. July 20th was widely considered the hottest day of the year, however, the camp was still a magnificent and fun event nonetheless! MadAssist provides performance training, mentorship, and motivational talk. We thought it would be a great idea to hosts this year’s event at Forest Youth Athletic Association for a change. The camp was completely free; food, drinks and a t-shirt were provided. Former professional and collegiate football players molded an awesome coaching staff with great enthusiasm. A dynamic warm-up was followed up by speed and agility drills. After the movement session we broke up into position specific stations, which consisted mostly of teaching and of course some competition to end the period. All of the coaches came from diverse backgrounds. They each concluded camp with a few words that we one day hope the young athletes will live by moving forward. All in all, you will have hardships, but you must persevere and stay on track. We look forward to doing much more within the community! Thank you for visiting and remember…   “Let’s Go E.A.T.”
